SLC is the place to mountain bike. There are trails everywhere, some really close
to my home and others that are worth driving a bit further to get to.

I usually bike on the following trails:
Downtown SLC
The Bonneville Shoreline Trail (BST) downtown connects to the most exciting downhill
ride I've ever experienced: the Bobsled. This steep trail follows a dry creek from
side to side. All the curves ride on the walls of the creek. I've found that after
you know the trail, you don't need to hit your breaks that much as you just have
to let yourself go and ride the walls.
The trail has some old cars that you can jump. They have well built dirt jumps and
landings at the beginning and end of the cars. My goal is to jump one of these cars
this year or the next, we'll see how that goes. It's been a while since I've broken
a bone.

These trails are really close to my place and they are really good. They are more
narrow and hence test your balance more than the downtown trails. You can also get
some good speed with a bit of air in these narrow trails, which is my personal favorite.
